Bonjour ! latcho dives !

d'impédences ( "confessin" et "It had to be you" ) dans l'esprit de Django des premiers disques (période 1934).

Guy Chobeau : sax alto
Déborah Lartilleux : basse et guitare rythmique
Christophe Lartilleux : guitare solo

Titres : 1. Dinette / 2. Festival 48 / 3. Mélodie au Crépuscule / 4. Swing 42 / 5. Blue for Ike / 6. Spanish Fantasy / 7. Artillerie Lourde / 8. Impromptu /
9. Porto Cabello / 10. Embraceable you / 11. Le gitan blond / 12. Tenderly / 13. Lentement Mademoiselle / 14. Place de Brouckère / 15. Confessin /
16. It had to be you / 17.

Remerciements : Claude Lartilleux , Eric Bourgeois

Hello! latcho dives!

This CD was produced in 2012, following a chance ...

My brother came home with a vintage microphone type Mélodium 50s ...
Hi << my brother, this is a micro I found in a flea market ...! test it to see! I plug .... and there! incredible! Same sound as Django on LP records! >>

Equipment used for recording :
Micro Mélodium Mélodynamique for Sound recording
guitar SELMER 634 of 1946
Guitar amp STIMER M10 1950
ST48 micro guitar STIMER 1948

On this CD, I pay tribute to my father Yvon Lartilleux (guitar) and my grandmother Georgette Lartilleux (mandolin) who had recorded
a few songs on a 78 rpm , including "on the way to your house / Sur le chemin de ta maison" that I reused for recording session... (breath and crackles required by the 78T), but it is such a pleasure to play altogether for a recording session after more than 60 years!

There are also the first two songs recorded as such, in direct, so we get the same sound as the 30's including breath of microphones without transformers
of impedences ("confessin" and "It Had to Be You") in Django's spirit of the early discs (period 1934).

From all my numerous albums, concerning the Django's sound, this album remains the closest to Django, and I am very joyful to share it.
Certainly, in margin of all criteria imposed by the record labels, that is to say, digital sound we mainly use and I add levels are too often high! The aim is to find the SOUND, atmosphere we had with the Django's Quintet of the Hot Club of France , an interest for our sound engineers - engineers and all old sound lovers...

The musicians who participated to the album:
Guy Chobeau: alto sax
Deborah Lartilleux: bass and rhythm guitar
Christophe Lartilleux: guitar solo

Songs : 1. Dinette / 2. Festival 48 / 3. Mélodie au Crépuscule / 4. Swing 42 / 5. Blue for Ike / 6. Spanish Fantasy / 7. Artillerie Lourde / 8. Impromptu / 9. Porto Cabello / 10. Embraceable you / 11. Le gitan blond / 12. Tenderly / 13. Lentement Mademoiselle / 14. Place de Brouckère / 15. Confessin / 16. It had to be you / 17. Sur le chemin de ta maison /

For concerts, Latcho Drom can use the micro patch (Vintage Melodium Melodynamic) for miking.
On Stage: 1 guitarist, 1 guitarist, 1 bassist, and either: 1 violinist and saxophonist.

This album is dedicated to my parents "Yvon and Josette" and Stef!
