Christophe
Lartilleux is in love with his guitar, inspired by the traditions of Django and
his ancestors;
he
presents DJAZZ JOURNEY during the 2004-2005 concert seasons. An original
musical performance
highlighting
the life of the legendary French Gypsy Jazz Guitarist Django Reinhardt and his
partner of the 1930-40's,
the
violinist "Stephane Grappelli." It includes the songs that made them
famous, Nuages, Dark Eyes, and Impromptu,
in
addition to many of Christophe's own compositions.
Led
by guitarist Lartilleux and including
Romanian violin player Florin Niculescu, rhythm guitarist Philippe Cuillerier
and
standing bass player Jean Wellers.
